What is Washi Tape?

A popular question, and why does it differ? Washi tape is a Japanese adhesive tape that is great for every occasion, it can stick to almost every surface and it is made from biodegradable sources sometimes including bamboo or hemp, but it can be made from any plant source.

Easy to tear, it comes in 15mm or 30mm widths, no need for scissors here.

It's reusable, heatproof, waterproof and you can peel it off and re-use it again, it's uses are infinite.

How to design Washi Tape?

Bespoke or custom washi tape is a popular choice for artists a like as the minimums for it are small, 50 rolls in fact. Each roll is 10 meters long. You can order it in 15mm width or 30mm width, you can add glitter, foil, print the inside of the tubes, add stickers on to the side, the options are unlimited when it comes to washi tape designing.

We recommend you use the following templates for your custom Washi Tape:

Non Foil

The pattern is a repeating pattern, and it'll repeat across the length of your tape, so it's best to consider a 'beginning' and an 'end' of the Washi Tape design, if you have too much detail, when it repeats over, if there is a break it may cause issues.

Any foil designs should be kept on a separate layer as the foil parts of the designs are printed separately from the main body.

Eco Friendly

Washi tape is very eco friendly, the glue used is non-toxic and completely biodegradable and recyclable. The cardboard tubes and the tape itself is completely recyclable.
